The work of the ICA includes helping to train and retain local officials to help raise the quality of our events as well as helping to keep our overall event promotion costs lower (by using locals). Everyone familiar with our local officials is keenly aware of how talented and capable they are. Unfortunately as time goes by our number of talented local officials drops slowly. To that point we now find ourselves in a bit of a crunch and occasionally have to bring in officials from outside our region to fill gaps we may have.
So we really need to have more people step up to be trained so they can fill those roles for us in the future. Local racing depends on it. It has been the position of the ICA for a long time to encourage every club
